Your treatment journey in India: a patient guide

A simple overview of how an international treatment enquiry can move from initial information to hospital review and practical travel coordination.

Start your enquiry
1. Tell us about the medical need

Share a brief description of the condition, diagnosis if known, patient age and country, and the treatment being considered if already advised.

2. Organise relevant medical information

Depending on the case, a hospital may request consultation notes, investigations, imaging or pathology reports, previous treatment records and current medications.

3. Hospital or specialist review

Relevant information can be coordinated with an appropriate hospital or specialist team. The medical team determines the clinical opinion, recommended next steps and whether further information is required.

4. Review available treatment and cost information

Where provided by the hospital, review the proposed approach and available estimate carefully. Final treatment and costs may change after in-person assessment or additional investigations.

5. Plan the treatment visit

After deciding to proceed, practical coordination may include appointments, hospital admission planning, travel-related documentation, accommodation or local logistics as applicable.

6. Treatment and follow-up

Clinical care remains under the treating hospital and medical team. Practical communication and coordination can continue through the treatment journey and, where appropriate, after return home.

Medical note: This guide describes a general coordination process. Individual medical cases and travel requirements differ. Elajme India does not diagnose conditions or guarantee treatment outcomes, hospital acceptance, costs or visa approval.
